I’m sitting in a room in front of a video camera telling the most embarrassing story that I know to a bunch of people I only just met. My leg won’t stop bouncing and I wish I had something in my hands but they took my pad and coffee cup off me when I sat down.

Simon is describing a Deception Detection workshop that was co-facilitated by Alan Hudson. The article describes Alan’s ability to identify microexpressions and improve participants’ abilities to detect patterns of deceptive behaviour. “I feel like I’m watching a magician,” says Simon at one point in the article.
